2014 Accounting & Customer Service Conference

Welcome!

WOW – that is all we can say about the line-up for this TSTCI Conference. WOW!

As you will note in the agenda outline, we have had to shake the “traditional” meeting schedule up a little this year. While I’d like to take credit for doing the “shake-up” – the reason really goes to the fact that we have a powerhouse line-up of speakers for both business disciplines that attend this meeting and a little tweek (not to be confused with twerk) here and a little tweek there to accommodate some speaker schedules and VOILÁ we have our agenda. Besides, a little fresh-up on the schedule is good for us all!

The biggest tweek we made was to our Wednesday agenda. As you may remember, this afternoon portion of this conference was added several years ago and at first primarily focused on the Finance and Accounting side of the house for additional CPE credits. Well our little extra credit idea for them has grown up and is now a stand-alone segment of this conference along with General Sessions and Concurrent Sessions and Breaks. All that before we let you mix and mingle at the Welcome Reception. We know we have done some changing up a bit – but, change is not always bad – sometimes it is just different. I assure you, this different is worth it. Not only because we have existing contracts but also because it is one of the favorite conference spots, we meet at the Westin Riverwalk in San Antonio. Registration and meeting check-in at noon on Wednesday, July 9, then the Conference kicks-off at 1:00 p.m. Be sure to visit the Agenda page for a complete schedule of event. Highlights from the Conference include:

  • Effective marketing strategies
  • Individual Federal Tax Update Accounting
  • Breakout Sessions in Customer Service and Accounting
  • Technology Updates
  • How the Affordable Care Act impacts and influences your business
  • Legislative and Regulatory updates
  • Opportunities for networking, including Wednesday evening’s Welcome Reception.

For the Accounting folks, all of the Thursday afternoon breakout sessions will be “Ethics for CPAs”. This year we are fortunate to have Dr. Carolyn Conn, Professor of Accounting at St. Edwards University in Austin as your instructor. Dr. Conn makes this serious subject something that is fun and interesting to hear and learn.

The TSTCI Program Planning Committee, want to give a big shout-out and special thanks to those associate member companies that give their time and energy and share their expertise with us through their participation as speakers, presenters and facilitators of this program. Our Association is very lucky to have as members companies and employees like: Bolinger, Segars, Gilbert & Moss, CHR Solutions, Curtis Blakely & Co., GVNW Consulting, JSI, Moss Adams, and The Mund Group. These TSTCI Associate Members help make this conference possible and successful. They are joined by others that help support our efforts with financial support as sponsors.
