Deep in heart of TSTCI” For a couple of months now we have asked you to “Save the Date” of February 3, 2015 for the TSTCI Legislative Day & Reception. Now it is time to ink us and link us in on your schedule. Registration is officially open. (CLICK HERE). Please also go ahead and make your hotel reservations before the holidays. The 2015 TSTCI Legislative Day in Austin and “WHERE THE STARS ARE STILL BIG & BRIGHT LEGISLATIVE RECEPTION” is scheduled for Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at the Sheraton Austin at the Capitol. As you all know, the outcome of each legislative session is important to our industry, your companies, your employees and your communities. Your participation in this legislative day and function is very important and greatly appreciated. While it is beneficial for our cause and we would encourage those that can and feel comfortable to visit your legislator(s) office during the day and extend a personal invitation to the reception, Capitol visits are not mandatory and they are only one piece of the important mission this event accomplishes. Your presence at this event and your attendance at the reception will also send a strong message to our legislators. If you’d like help, we will work with you to schedule time with your legislator or to group you with other TSTCI companies in visiting legislators. We will be sending written invitations to all legislative offices inviting the legislator and staff to our reception. We will also have hand-out invitations for you to take by legislator(s) offices during visits to the Capitol that day. As we have done in the past, we plan to draw for the $1,000 scholarship designations by those legislators that attend our reception. This event has been successful in the past and it is made possible by the generosity of our membership in sponsoring the scholarship funds. In addition to the other sponsorship opportunities available for this conference, you will also note the scholarship sponsorship opportunity on the on-line registration form. Our entire TSTCI membership is included in this event. This means all of our Members and Associate Members. Legislators notice when their visitors are constituents. Many of you, our Associate Members, live and work in the more urban areas and your attendance and participation can help make a bigger impact with the urban legislators by your attendance and visits with the legislators. Relationships are key to the success of any business. In addition to participating in this important TSTCI event, it is also an opportunity for relationship and networking building within our own membership. In addition to the planned reception Tuesday evening, there is great opportunity to visit and mingle with everyone on Monday evening. Many gather informally for beverages and fellowship before heading for dinner at the many wonderful restaurants of Austin. Opportunities galore! We are hopeful that our membership will shine for this important event as they have done for the other TSTCI events of recent. In addition, please note the reduction in the registration fee for this year’s event.
